The second in Redeye's newest programme of Critique Surgeries, aimed at photographers looking for informal advice on their work or practice.
We are delighted to announce guest panelists Open Eye Gallery Exhibitions Coordinator Thomas Dukes and Salford Art Curator Lindsay Taylor, in addition to Redeye's Paul Herrmann. Currently free for Redeye members, these sessions are programmed quarterly to provide regular informal support to photographers from Redeye and experts in the field.

It takes place from 17:30 to 19:00 on 20 July 2015 at Redeye. All Redeye members are welcome. Members can pre-register here or just turn up on the night. Running from October 2014 to April 2015, at the Manchester Central Library, this series of workshops is aimed at any photographer or artist who is considering, or has recently started, working professionally, selling their work, collaborating with others, or who wants their work to be seen more widely and taken more seriously. They look in detail at the key business and professional requirements of practising photographers.

The final two career development workshops look at the different way you can get your work out and seen in public - through exhibiting, publishing in print, and online. The first in this "Getting Seen" series concentrates on exhibitions and galleries.
Exhibiting is a great way to get your work to an audience, but unfortunately everyone else thinks so too! Many photographers investigate the idea of exhibiting but retreat, baffled by the gallery system in the UK. This workshop is about demystifying the exhibiting process. It explores:
