Starting up a business can often be a daunting task. Here to help you break into the market is strategic advisor and business coach Andrew Thomas. Andrew runs you through how to assess the climate and marketing opportunities, defining the purpose of your business and building your business model. He also covers how to define your target customer and value proposition, deciding on your company structure and going to marketing and generating demand for your services. As well as pushing you in the right direction in developing your vision Andrew explains how to harness technology in order for your dream to flourish.
This is a strongly practical session answering many of the questions people have about starting up a creative business, and steering you away from the mistakes that can hold your business back.

After working in marketing for a large part of his career, Andrew Thomas then become a digital transformation coach, and now works as a growth expert on the Oxford University-run Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Programme, coaching entrepreneurs. As a trainer for The Google Digital Academy, he facilitates Google's Brand Solutions Masterclass to enable clients to shape their brand and businesses with a consumer-centric and digital-first mindset.

Who is this event for?
This event is open to all. It’s particularly aimed at photographers and photographic artists either interested in setting up their own photographic or creative visual business, or in the early stages (first 3-4 years) of it. It will also be useful for anyone working as a photographer who is planning a change or feels their business could do with some refreshing, as well as recent graduates.
As with all Redeye’s events, the course is informal, friendly, welcoming and a safe space. We encourage attendance from all sections of the community regardless of your age, gender, ethnicity, sexuality, disability or social class. We want everyone to be able to access this course so if you have any particular needs or restrictions, please let us know so we can work with you.
When?
This event takes place on Tuesday, 1st Febuary, 2022; 7pm - 8:30pm.

Where?
Online! You will need an internet connection and a computer, smartphone or tablet. These events take place over Zoom.
Tickets
Tickets for individual sessions are £12.50 for Redeye members and a full price ticket is £16.50.
Full course tickets are £145 for Redeye members and £190 for non-members.
