We regret to announce that after 26 years of supporting photographers and championing photography throughout the UK, Redeye, the Photography Network will wind down on 31 July 2024 due to a number of factors, including lack of funding. Next Free Public Meeting - TONIGHT!

The next public meeting takes place at 7.30pm on Wednesday, October 27th at The Richard Goodall Gallery, 59 Thomas St, Manchester M4. As ever, we'll have up to the minute news and opportunities and this month's meeting will feature presentations from Lawrence Giles on his acclaimed Time and Tide project that is currently touring the UK. Alongside Lawrence, we'll have Sabrina Fuller showcasing a body of work entitled 'Just Who You Want To Be', which examines the roles people undertake at night in the city. Should be a good evening - it's free to come along and all are welcome.

The next public meeting takes place at 7.30pm on Tuesday 22nd Feb 05 at the Richard Goodall Gallery, Thomas St, Manchester M4.
The speakers are:
Will Woods, whose work comprises images in black and white spanning 20 years and covers landscape, portrait and street photography from the UK, Europe and America.

Fred Chan is a social documentary photographer who will show work that covers the plight of refugees, experiences of the Chinese community in Britain as well as images from a breath-taking Trans Siberian journey.

The next Redeye free public meeting is on 9th September 2003 at the Richard Goodall Gallery, 59 Thomas Street, Manchester M4 1NA, 7:30pm. The meeting features a talk and showing of work by the eminent photojournalist and people photographer Sefton Samuels, including pictures of jazz musicians shown at the Barbican and Viewpoint. Redeye Autumn Lectures 2003

There's a unique chance to see one of the world's finest photographers, Cristina Garcia Rodero, giving her only ever lecture in Britain, and a welcome return for high-flying and ever-popular fashion photographer Elaine Constantine**. John Davies will be talking about his foray into digital printing, and two of the hottest names in contemporary landscape photography, Ori Gersht and Sophy Rickett, come to Manchester. Dinu Li and John Darwell will reflect on their river journeys and their search for answers from photography.

The next Redeye meeting takes place in the welcoming environs of the Richard Goodall Gallery, 59 Thomas St, Manchester M4 on December 2nd, at 7.30pm. As well as a chance to catch up on the latest photography news from the region, there will be a presentation from Mark Harvey on what it takes to become a successful photographer - Mark will explain what he feels is the most important aspects to being a professional photographer- the business approach!
