Yan Preston and working in China

Our network meeting for September looks at working in China, the world's fastest-growing photographic economy, and will also discuss and explore some of the issues around working on long-term projects overseas.

Redeye Critique Session

Lost in Transit launch

Lost in Transit is a group exhibition developed over nine months, organised by Redeye with Impressions Gallery. We're delighted that it opens in London as part of Photomonth. The launch is 26th November 2009 from 6-9pm.

Redeye at Vision 09

Come and meet members of the Redeye team on our stand (No A13) at Vision 09, the major UK event dedicated to aspiring professionals and early career pro photographers. The day features talks, demos, seminars and portfolio reviews - a few places on the latter remain at £5 per session, while the event as a whole costs £10. Keynote speakers are Martin Parr and Eugene Richards. See: Vision web site.

Liverpool Network Meeting

The speaker for the next network meeting in Liverpool is Cian Quayle, Programme Leader in BA Photography at the University of Chester. His images have a personal significance but are ubiquitous in their anonymity. He will be showing works that were recently installed at the Dagmar de Pooter Gallery in Antwerp in the solo exhibition This Will Kill That (2009). Quayle works with all aspects of the medium of photography including family snapshots, found photographs and photographic postcards.
