Large Format Masterclass with John Davies

Large format offers the ultimate in photographic quality. Redeye and Open Eye present a unique series of three one-day workshops to challenge and inspire you. The workshops are aimed at anyone interested in photography, whether or not you have experience of large format. If you've never tried large format you're in for a treat; if you have used it before, this is a chance to take it further.

Fundraising for Photographic Projects

This event takes a broad look at the various ways of raising money for photography and arts projects. It will describe the current funding landscape: where is funding coming from, what sort of projects are being funded, and what makes a good proposal? It will explore the various private funding avenues - business engagement, individual giving and crowdfunding - and also public sector funding, trusts and foundations, and loans.

This event is suitable for any photographers or photographic artists, whether or not you have any experience of fundraising.

YPA Rich Mix Panel Discussion

When ideals meet harsh reality, how can emerging photographers pursue a personal vision and still survive in the competitive world of professional photography?

Respected picture editor Colin Jacobson moderates a panel discussion to investigate how emerging photographers can be commercially successful. YPA (the Young Photographers' Alliance) has pulled together a panel of veteran photographers, rising stars, and picture editors. The panelists include award-winning photographers Timothy Allen, John Wright, John Angerson, Jason Larkin, and picture editor Susan Glen.

Back for its 13th year, Vision is arranged by the British Journal of Photography, and features a busy programme of talks, demos, seminars and portfolio reviews.

Day one is aimed at professionals and students, and features portfolio reviews and talks by Daniel Meadows and Joachim Schmidt, whilst day two is aimed at enthusiasts, with a range of talks on landscape, wildlife and street photography.
