Liz Hingley: Weekend Workshop and Personal Portrait

We are very pleased to offer a unique opportunity: a weekend workshop with leading photographer Liz Hingley, including a portrait of you - or someone you nominate - by Liz, as part of her series in progress, Spiritual Object Portraits. Numbers are strictly limited to eight participants.

Liz Hingley is one of the most celebrated photographers of her generation; her sympathetic approach, curiosity, and insightful visual storytelling has won her numerous prizes and accolades over the last five years.

Arts Council England are offering a series of artist surgeries for artists/photographers based in the Sunderland area, with the Northern Centre of Photography.

Artangel Open Platform

29 January 2013, 18:00 to 20:00

This event, with guest speakers is to introduce Open: a £1 million initiative by Artangel, BBC Radio 4 and Arts Council England for new site-specific commissions across the UK.

Open is a call for artists working in any media to share proposals for ground-breaking projects that will transform the UK's cultural landscape.

The final two career development workshops in Redeye's series look at the different ways you can get your work out and seen in public - through exhibiting, publishing in print, and online.

This one concentrates on exhibitions and galleries, and features two of the UK's leading speakers in this area: Anne McNeill, director of Impressions Gallery, Bradford; and Laura Noble, director of LA Noble Gallery in London.

Oldham Road Project discussion with Charlie Meecham

Photographer Charlie Meecham will be at the People's History Museum, Manchester between 14:00 and 16:00 on Saturday 12 January 2013, to meet up with anyone who might like to pop in and discuss any aspect of this project, or anything else regarding their own interests or projects that might in some way relate to using photography as a way to research an idea.

The exhibition runs until 13 January.

Bolton Camera Club Visitors' Display

20 December 2012, 10:00 to 21 December 2012, 16:00

On Thursday 20th and Friday 21st December between 10am and 4pm, members of Bolton Camera Club will be inviting people to bring their own images to the Gallery so that they may display their work in a dedicated part of the 'Bolton Art and Photography' exhibition. If you have work that you would like to submit for display, please bring it along on your camera, pen drive or disc and the Camera Club will print it out for you.

Miniclick-A-Ganza

On Wednesday 19th of December, the Miniclick Photography Talks are joining forces with local arts and craft group Brighton Craftaganza, to put on ‘Miniclick-A-Ganza’: a joint Christmas party at The Old Market to say thanks to everyone who has supported the two groups over the last year.
