Redeye Network Meeting - Manchester

The next Network Meeting is 7pm, 30th October at the Chinese Arts Centre, Thomas St, Manchester. We're delighted to welcome our speaker Andrew Esiebo, one of Nigeria's young contemporary photographers working on portraits of urban life and his country's culture and heritage. His images have featured in international publications including Photoblogs magazine- USA, United Nations Global Report on Human Settlements and Voiceworks-Australia. Andrew's works have also featured at photography shows in Nigeria, Ghana France and Syria.

Ian Berry talk

Redeye is very pleased to welcome the world-famous Magnum photographer, to coincide with his exhibitions at The Lowry (31 Mar to 10 Jun 2007), and Magnum's 60th birthday. (If you arrive early or stay on afterwards you can see a demonstration of the HP printer used to print the current exhibition.)

Look 07 was a large-scale season of events, effectively a festival, set up by Redeye and taking place in spring 2007. It explored the broadening use of photography and the role of the professional within the new landscape.

Redeye at Focus on Imaging

For the first time Redeye has a large presence at the Focus on Imaging show at the NEC in Birmingham from 25th to 28th of February. We're using the opportunity to launch our new travelling photography centre, called PHOTOMOBILE - a darkroom, pinhole camera, camera obscura and digital suite, all housed in a large trailer, and available for hire by schools, colleges, arts and community groups and any other organisations who want to increase their first hand experience of photography. It's supported by Ilford Photo/Harman Technology.

Next Manchester Public Meeting

The next Manchester public meeting takes place at 7.30pm, Tuesday 5th December and will feature a presentation from fashion and art photographer, Jacqueline Callaghan. One other speaker is still to be announced.

The event offers the chance to network with other local photographers. It's free and open to all. Redeye folk will be present to meet & greet and keep you up to date with all the latest news.
