Events

We regret to announce that after 26 years of supporting photographers and championing photography throughout the UK, Redeye, the Photography Network will wind down on 31 July 2024 due to a number of factors, including lack of funding. Read our full statement here. We are no longer publishing events. The archive of past events is available below.

Building on the success of the inaugural Diffusion: Cardiff International Festival of Photography in 2013, Ffotogallery is delighted to announce that Diffusion 2015 will take place from 1 – 31 October. Redeye's Annual General Meeting for 2015 takes place at International Anthony Burgess Foundation at 18:00 to 19:30 on 28th September 2015.

This short meeting is a chance to come along and hear about Redeye's plans for the future, network with other Redeye members and meet Redeye staff and board members. Along with details about our upcoming programme, we'll be announcing some new opportunities for photographers, and give an overview of what we've been doing over the summer.

What is Lightbox?
Lightbox is a yearlong course that aims to launch or develop the careers of the best emerging photographers.

Many of you will know that Redeye recently converted to becoming a Community Benefit Society (or Bencom). This is our first members' general meeting as a Bencom. It takes place from 17:30 to 19:00 on 20 July 2015 at Redeye. All Redeye members are welcome. Members can pre-register here or just turn up on the night. Make sure your membership is up to date on the day.

Rencontres d'Arles

6 July 2015, 10:00 to 20 September 2015, 18:00
Photo: Paolo Woods and Gabriele Galimberti

The Rencontres d'Arles takes place annually in Arles in the South of France. It's one of the best known and longest-established photography festivals in Europe. If you only visit one festival, it should probably be this one. Much of the city is taken over by photography. The 2015 edition, the 46th, is the first under its new director Sam Stourdzé. We recommend you visit in the opening week, 6 to 12 July, and if you are a professional, book a professional pass which costs €65 and gives you entry to almost all exhibitions and public events.

Join us at Open Eye Gallery to share and talk for a minute about one photograph that means something to you, and to hear others share theirs.
