Interested in using an off-camera flash but not sure where to start? Join us in this unique member-led event with award-winning commercial and industrial photographer Phil Melia, as he welcomes you into the world of off-camera flash photography for a demonstration and tour around Saddleworth Studios

Who is it for?
This event is ideal for anyone wanting to learn more about off-camera flash processes and techniques, and for those who would like to learn more about working in a photographic studio such as Saddleworth Studios.

Phil Melia
Phil Melia has been offering the highest standards in professional photography to a wide range of business sectors for over 25 years. As well as Phil’s extensive professional experience, he is qualified to the highest level, Fellowship Grade, with The British Institute of Professional Photography, and also holds a Masters Degree in International Documentary and Photojournalism Photography. Throughout Phil’s career, he has covered a wide range of genres including product photography, industrial, engineering, manufacturing assignments, corporate portraiture, editorial, PR commissions, lifestyle, fashion and advertising.

Ten years ago Phil established Saddleworth Studios in the village of Greenfield with award-winning pet photographer Samantha Jones LBIPP. Set in a historic old mill in the stunning Saddleworth countryside, the studio gallery offers a great environment to create inspired studio product, fashion, portrait and pet photography while at the same time offering a great gallery space to showcase their work.

The studio has recently seen the addition of a third photographer, fashion and portrait photographer Mark Gibbins, who also takes on the role of Studio Director.

Saddleworth Studios, The Tanner Business Centre, Chew Valley Road, Greenfield OL3 7NH. The venue is fully accessible.
