Print and Publishing, Books and Zines with Tom Booth Woodger

Tuesday, 5th April  7pm - 8:30pm

Print, books and zines remain a huge growth area in photography, and they are great for building your reputation - but can they also pay for themselves or even generate income? Today's speaker thinks both are possible. With a refreshing look at print, publishing and design of books and zines, Tom Booth Woodger talks through the ideal product to sell, how photographers should go about making a photobook, and how to market it to sell to shops. He walks you through every step of the process, right from the beginning and how to make contact when the book has been produced.

Tom is a photographer, designer and archivist, living and working in London. Tom continues to develop his personal practice alongside working at Setanta Books as a designer, as well as freelancing as an assistant and archivist.

His photographic work is borne out of intuition and an appreciation for the physical world. His imagery often focuses on the potential of the unnoticed, and what we choose to ignore; either unconsciously or willingly. He explores this through long-form series of imagery; which often focus on a single person or place.
