Commercial and Editorial Photography with Toni Mccoy-Hopwood

Tuesday, 15th March, 2022; 7pm - 8:30pm

Commercial and editorial photography encompasses a wide range of practice, but with a few factors in common. Professional clients who understand the value and importance of the best photography. Within sometimes tight constraints and deadlines, the possibility of experimentation. Often, access to subjects and places that would be difficult to obtain otherwise. And the knowledge that your work will be looked at and your reputation potentially enhanced.

While commercial photography is still much needed and well-paid, the remuneration for editorial has dipped in recent years; but it still offers opportunities that are hard to find elsewhere.

Toni Mccoy-Hopwood dives deeper into the polished commerical and editorial image and unpicks aspects of the process from finding clients, recruiting models, shooting on set, and editing the final product for sending to clients. Toni helps you learn how to effectively network to get your work seen by the right people to achive commissions and make money. As well as letting you in on her idea generation, research and development, networking, finding the right contacts and partners, and how to deal with negotiation.
