An event exploring life as a photography collective, hosted by Strand Collective, a group of photographers working under the mentorship of Dewi Lewis on Redeye's Lightbox course.

About

At under a year old, Strand Collective are just at the start of their journey, but what does it take to bring a group of independent artists together as a collective, to unite over shared goals, begin to create new, and hopefully meaningful, work together and share that with the world? Join us for an open discussion on life as a photography collective and why life is better together, most of the time.

Strand Collective consists of seven photographers based in Manchester and Yorkshire, with the aim of exploring personal and social identity through photography. Created through the Redeye Photography Network ‘Lightbox’ programme and currently under the mentorship of Dewi Lewis of Dewi Lewis Publishing. Their project 'Second Skin’ is on show now at No Walls Gallery as part of Photo Fringe and is supported by Arts Council England.
