Fine Focus

Creative Industries Trafford presents 'Fine Focus', a series of six creative workshops led by photographer Mario Popham and curator Rebecca Dixon.

It’s for photographers and visual artists who want to further explore and experiment with the photographic medium and take their practice to the next level. Participants will work together on a group exhibition to be showcased at Waterside Arts Centre’s Lauriston Gallery, from Oct 2013 to January 2014.

Sessional Teaching in Photography

The School of Arts, Design & Media at Stockport is seeking responses from practitioners to provide sessional teaching in photography (currently one day).

The BA (Honours) Contemporary Photography is one of a number of flagship courses within the School which has gained a reputation for high quality photographic work and graduates that are highly employable. The degree is now awarded by Manchester Metropolitan University.

Bursaries available on MA Visual Sociology

Two fee bursaries are available for new MA at Goldsmiths.

Drawing on Goldsmiths’ strengths in Visual Sociology, critical social analysis and experimental approaches in Science and Technology Studies, this programme is designed for students who are interested in new ways of exploring and understanding the social world through the use of visual, sensory and other inventive methods.

Call for Submissions: Slide Jam at the next Redeye photographers' network event

Redeye is looking for participants to take part in Slide Jam, an informal showcase event for the next photographers' network event taking place at Open Eye Gallery on Tuesday 11 December.

Photographers from all backgrounds are invited to send in the three best shots from their portfolio - or any three images they would like to show. Around 10 to 15 photographers will be selected to show and discuss their work in a five minute slot.

This is a great opportunity to share your work with fellow photographers in a fun, relaxed environment.
