A Project Manager: Art at Work is being recruited in Brighton & Hove (March 2013-2015).

Photoworks, Lighthouse and The Aldridge Foundation are recruiting a project manager familiar with photography, moving image and new technology to facilitate a youth-led action research project. Art at Work will enable a core group of young people aged 14–19 in the two Aldridge Academies in Brighton and Hove to develop wider opportunities for cultural participation for their peers using innovative online and event-based projects.

Extensive experience of working in an educational context with young people in challenging circumstances in this age group, and of managing multi-agency/partnership projects is essential. Familiarity with web-based creative practice and social networking tools is highly desirable.The appointed Project Manager will have a keen knowledge and interest in photography, moving image and digital media, and demonstrate a genuine interest in engaging with young people and new technology.

The project partners have engaged Culture Shift to oversee the appointment of the Project Manager, to support the development of the project and to evaluate the programme.
