Join us at Open Eye Gallery for an evening with Stephen King and Natalie Wardle, two photographers exploring gender, identity and sexuality.

To kick off the event, recent graduate Natalie Wardle will give a short talk on her recent work, Control Pants Symphony, an exploration into 'shapewear' (garments that are designed to mould and shape the female body). This piece is currently on display as part of Modern History Vol II

Stephen King will then present Dry Your Eyes Princess, a unique photography project in which King has photographed trans* military veterans from across the UK, exploring the intersection between gender identity and military service. This project is the first of its kind examining trans* veterans’ experience of service in the Armed Forces.

The event will finish with a Q&A and an open session where attendees are encouraged to meet with other photographers, and share their work.

This event coincides with Open Eye Gallery's current exhibition Zanele Muholi: Vukani/Rise
