Come and Chat

4th August 2022; 6pm - 8pm

Do you have a project, or series of images you would like some feedback on?

Our Come and Chat sessions are friendly, relaxed and welcoming spaces to show your work and help you get things moving along!

For this event we would like you to bring along some work, in the form of a printed portfolio, or some images on your laptop screen, or even just some ideas you can talk about, and share your current practice with other photographers. This will be in small groups of 5 people, during which each person presents for 5 minutes and then receives 5 minutes of feedback from the group. This exercise will happen twice, giving you fresh feedback and varied advice on your work.

This is also a great opportunity to reconnect with the photo community and meet other artists working within the region. It is especially a good chance to have a look around Pollard Street Processing's studio and exhibition space, and to meet their lovely team.

Who is it for?

This event is for any photographers, artists or anyone working in a connected field, looking to meet new people, practise talking about their work and gain new professional connections. It's open to photographers and artists at every level, and is highly recommended for anyone looking for a little inspiration and motivation.

We encourage you to bring your printed work with you, but you may also bring a laptop and show images on your screen!

If you're not sure what to bring, please feel free to get in touch for some suggestions.

When

Doors open at 5:45pm and this event runs from 6pm until 8pm, on 4th August 2022. At 6pm we will set you into groups of 5 to present your work for 5 minutes, and then receive 5 minutes of friendly feedback from the group. There will be a break then you will be invited to join a new group and do the activity again. You do not have to show work, you can come along to just listen and engage with others!
