The Open Awards

The Open Awards are open for everyone to enter and are a celebration of exquisite imagery.  All finalists will be featured in the Awards book as well as being showcased in a 7-week public exhibition at One Canada Square, Canary Wharf, where over 50,000 people will see your work.

CUPH: Call out

The position of the photographer as insider or outsider runs throughout discussion on representation and influences much photographic practice. CUPH is looking for submissions of photography taken on B&W negative that respond to the theme of the outsider to be exhibited in Brooklyn.

NOT Photography: open call

David Penny and Slyvia Waltering are looking for submissions of work for NOT PHOTOGRAPHY, a cross-disciplinary exhibition at Bankley Gallery, Manchester.

W. Eugene Smith Fund Howard Chapnick Grant

In 1996 the W. Eugene Smith Memorial Fund established the Howard Chapnick Grant, to encourage and support leadership in fields ancillary to photojournalism, such as editing, research, education and management. The Grant was established to honor the memory of Howard Chapnick, and to acknowledge the value of his enormous contribution to photography. As president of the photo agency Black Star, Chapnick was responsible for making and maintaining a network of photographers around the world.

CFCCA: Archive & Library Artist Residency 2019

Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art (CFCCA) is now accepting applications from UK-based contemporary artists and practitioners for a fully funded, 4-week residency in CFCCA’s purpose-built artist studio in Manchester city centre, working with our archive and library collection.
