Artist Residency: China, QUAD

This exchange Residency Programme is for an artist based in the UK to have a dedicated Studio at Tank Loft located in the Campus of Sichuan Fine Art Institute, Chongqing and time to develop work in a new environment. The selected artist will be in residence in Chongqing, China in October/ November 2019 for 6 to 8 weeks. They are looking for an artist based anywhere in the UK, working in any medium with experience of running workshops.

The 2019 Redeye and University of Cumbria Print Residency: Rob Sara

Making great prints from your photographs is one of the key qualities for the successful photographer. We are delighted to announce a new residency to support analogue hand printing. This is a rare collaborative opportunity for a photographer to work in a state of the art darkroom with a top artisan printer.

Call-out: Critical Mass 2019

Critical Mass was created in order to help photographers get their work into the conversation. They sought to establish an online platform that would make it more efficient and easier for photographers to promote their work to a wide selection of professionals in the field. Critical Mass makes it possible for photographers to get their work in front of 200 top museum curators, gallerists, editors, publishers, and media producers.

Redeye introduces Lightbox Plus: an intensive week of ideas and training to take your professionalism to the next level, Monday 2 to Friday 6 September. If you are already achieving success as a working photographer, artist or producer, Lightbox Plus has been tailored to help you progress further.

This week-long course in September is the gateway to exploring these issues whilst being able to experience them with peers at a similar stage. We aim to equip you with skills and knowledge to progress individually, but also to thrive within this group – a long-lasting support network for you to give to and take from.
