Collaboratively developed and delivered by a-n, Castlefield Gallery, Manchester Craft & Design Centre and Redeye, the Photography Network. At first glance, Barker’s photographs appear to show sea creatures and corals suspended deep beneath the sea, but closer inspection reveals a more disturbing reality. From footballs to fishing nets, cotton buds to coffee cup lids, Barker highlights the everyday plastic items now commonplace in our oceans and seas.
