The Western Region of the RPS is delighted to offer students, about to enter their final year of undergraduate study, an opportunity to apply for a Bursary of £200 and one-year’s membership to the RPS.

The bursary is intended to help the student execute a final year photographic project that is assessed as part of their degree.

We welcome applications from students studying for a degree related to Photography in a higher education establishment in the Western Region namely postal codes GL, SN, BS, BA, TA.

The deadline for submissions is midnight Friday October 13th, 2023.

The successful applicant will be notified by Monday, November 13, 2023.

The student receiving this bursary will be asked to supply a photo of themselves with a short biography (up to 200 words) which will be used to announce their success.

On completion of the project, they will be asked to provide three or more images, which formed part of the project, and a short account of how the bursary helped achieve them.

The Royal Photographic Society has launched its strategic plan with a Vision and Mission that promotes Photography for Everyone, and The RPS Western Region hopes that this bursary will help in achieving those goals.
