The Facilitator will be responsible for co-facilitating weekly art photography groups as part of our very successful Autography program for Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) adults based at Photofusion’s site in Brixton. You will be working alongside Anna Farley - creator, manager and co-facilitator of the Autography project.
This is a freelance position with payment for session planning and delivery you are required to be available Wednesdays and Fridays from September to November. (Payment Fees in Line with A-N Network Guidance.)
About Autography
This project believes that everyone on the autism spectrum has the right to feel happy. Autography will host a weekly group workshop and a weekly open-access session at Photofusion where participants will work with professional teachers, ASC experts, mentors and artists on the following:
- Establishing a supportive peer group through weekly meetings with fellow ASC adults in an accessible and non-judgmental space.
- Learning new skills and techniques for managing elements of our conditions including self-care and well-being skills.
- Working together to make photographic work that will help us and the public understand our unique experiences of ASC.
- Working together to programme an ASC awareness festival at Photofusion for members of the public to come and gain a greater awareness of ASC conditions.
