Platform: Middlesex University Art and Design Degree Show 2011

We like to think of the Middlesex University degree show as the biggest and best in London. Every year, around 5,000 people visit the show over five days it is open - including employers, designers, gallery owners and the creative industry glitterati. The exciting range of work on show includes fine art, fashion, graphic design, illustration, photography, interior architecture, furniture, film and even sonic art!

PHOTO27 - University of Cumbria

PHOTO27 is a 2011 degree show presenting photographic work by twenty seven graduating BA (Hons) photography students from the University of Cumbria.

All students have developed their distinctive styles and methods over three years of study, enabling them to create a group exhibition with a rich diversity of concepts, subject matter and presentation.

Embracing a range of current photographic practices and fresh insights, the show provides an exciting opportunity to see the work of tomorrow's emerging photographers and is an informative and intelligent context for anyone with an interest in contemporary photography to come and visit. (link)

Touching Space - University of Cumbria


MA research can be regarded as an individual journey, with each artist developing their own very personal project. On the other hand, such work is decidedly theoretical in engaging with conceptual and visual research that drives the practice into the academic realm. Each photographer in this show took on board some of the most complex theories and incorporated them into thrilling visual bodies of work. (link)

Design For Digital Media - Salford University

This year’s graduates will be presenting a spectacular portfolio of final-year work, featuring films, photographs and multimedia installations at the Salford Mill.The night will include a final chance to view the exhibition of interactive, print and animation design in the gallery. Alongside this will be a showing of this year’s showreel of motion pieces. Musical entertainment will be provided by a range of new artists and DJs affiliated with the course inside the bar and lounge area.

The 20ID11 project explores a broad range of approaches to the culture of photography. This exhibition is the culmination of that philosophy.
