Redeye joins Impressions Gallery and Open Eye Gallery on fieldeditions.org, a new contemporary photography consortium, working with photographers to produce benefit limited edition photographic prints in support of Northern photography.

Whenever we put out calls for help and support at Redeye, we're always humbled by the amazing response that we get. That’s what makes it so rewarding to work in the photography world - an active and unfailingly generous community that sees the benefit of the support and development work we do.

The idea behind Field Editions is to give our supporters a chance to get something back. You might have already dipped your toes into the print sales world - visited a fair such as Photo London or Paris Photo, thought about it for your own work or perhaps even started your own collection. Through the very generous support of the photographers and artists who have donated work, we can offer some really great, and sometimes unique, prints, at the fairest price - and in the knowledge that if you buy one, all the money will go directly to support the work of Redeye, Open Eye and Impressions.

Some people will be happy to buy online, while others will want to see the work in the flesh. The first chance to do that will be at Manchester Contemporary, which opens on 22 September 2016. And if you have any queries, we have a very experienced small team managing Field Editions, so please contact them through the website fieldeditions.org.

A joint statement from the three partners at Field:

'We are delighted to announce the official launch of Field Editions, a new contemporary photography consortium, working with photographers to produce benefit limited edition photographic prints in support of Northern photography.

Established by Impressions Gallery, Bradford, Redeye, the Photography Network, Manchester, and Open Eye Gallery, Liverpool, Field Editions presents its inaugural portfolio of 20 exceptional - yet affordable - limited edition prints by both established and emerging contemporary photographers. Works by artists such as Rut Blees Luxemburg, John Stezaker, Eva Stenram, Karen Knorr, Murray Ballard and Martin Parr are now available to view and buy online and will be at the Field Editions stand at The Manchester Contemporary Art Fair, 22nd- 25th September.

All sales proceeds go towards supporting the three organisations in this consortium and the work they do investing in the next generation of photography talent. Supported by Arts Council England.'
