Raqs Media Collective are three Delhi-based artists – Jeebesh Bagchi, Monica Narula and Shuddhabrata Sengupta – whose practice includes photography, new media, film, media theory and curation.
This exhibition features two works. An Afternoon Unregistered on the Richter Scale (2011) is a silent looped video projection that transforms an archival photograph taken in Calcutta in 1911 through a series of subtle alterations. More →

Edgar Martins was commissioned by The New York Times Magazine to explore the United States’ subprime mortgage industry collapse and its impact on the real estate market.
In a study that goes beyond pure formal investigation and factual documentation, Martins, a photographic artist, decided to tackle the project from the outset and to use it to explore new models for conceptualizing a hotly contemporary phenomenon and landscape, outside of the photojournalistic canon. Voices of the South Atlantic examines issues of war and its consequences. Rooted in the 1982 Falklands/Malvinas War, it includes the voices of people who fought on both sides, as well as civilians who were directly affected by it.
The premise of this work is that fear and loss are universal and that pain and trauma affect both the losers and the winners. More →

This spring, New York artist Zoe Leonard (b. 1961) will transform Gallery 3 at Camden Arts Centre into a ‘camera obscura’.
Daylight will filter in through a lens projecting an image of the world outside onto the floor, walls and ceiling, creating a spatially immersive experience. Alongside this, Gallery 1 will be filled with a new series of photographs depicting the sun together with a sculptural installation of found images in Gallery 2. More →

An exhibition of work by the photography graduates at Stockport College, using the still and moving image to explore a range of themes, including the medium itself, which is in state of dynamic flux.

Final year students at Staffordshire University are showcasing a new and exciting photographic exhibition INVISO (IN-VEE-SO), at both Staffordshire University and at Cube in Manchester. The exhibition will be the culmination of three years of study and features a diverse range of student work while at University. Presenting imagery from thirty-one graduates all with different ideas and viewpoints about photography. More →
