An exhibition which looks at the decline of the fishing industry in Hull during the 1970’s. A group exhibition by The People collaborative Nigel Walker, Julie Shakesby, Carmina Ripolles, Rob Bentley and David Drasdo.

It is an important piece of documentary archive capturing the voices of many who may not be here in a few more years. Portraits of trawler men, dock workers, the families and those who have recorded that time, are accompanied by sixty word stories of those years by each person.

The exhibition is sponsored by the North Atlantic Fishing Company and Hull Maritime.

The show opens at Hull Independent Photography Gallery on Saturday 8th July and continues into August. The gallery is open Wednesday to Saturday between 10.00 and 16.00 and is free.
