MINICLICK Talk – Jim Stephenson

8 August 2012, 17:30 to 20:00

On Wednesday August 8th, for the 25th Episode of the monthly, free miniclick phototalks, architectural photographer Jim Stephenson will be presenting his work to the audience at The Old Market in Brighton & Hove.

Jim Stephenson is a contemporary photographer concerned with the documentation of architecture and the built environment and in particular, how people use space and how this is best depicted in a frozen, still image.

With a lifelong love of architecture, Jim trained as an architectural technologist and after graduation he worked in the industry for almost ten years on both sides of the Atlantic. During this time he began to take photographs for architectural practices, eventually setting down his pen to photograph buildings full time. His work has been published in newspapers, magazines and journals the world over, including The Sunday Times, The Guardian, The Observer, The Evening Standard, The Financial Times, The New York Times, Icon, Architecture Today, The Architects Journal and Building Design.

Jim will be talking about his commercial work, his personal projects and about the miniclick photography talks he curates.

Doors at 6:30, talk starts at 7:30
