Artist Talk: Mandy Barker

20 February 2020, 19:30 to 20:30

This exhibition by international award-winning photographer, Mandy Barker, looks at global marine plastic pollution and its far-reaching effects.

At first glance, Barker’s photographs appear to show sea creatures and corals suspended deep beneath the sea, but closer inspection reveals a more disturbing reality. From footballs to fishing nets, cotton buds to coffee cup lids, Barker highlights the everyday plastic items now commonplace in our oceans and seas.

Hear more about Our Plastic Ocean at our talk with Mandy Barker at Waterside, Thursday 20th February at 7:30pm. Tickets £5 full price, £3 concession.
