Magnum Showcase in Association with IdeasTap

Photographers aged 16-30 can submit their photos on a particular theme, get them reviewed by a Magnum judge and showcased on IdeasTap's site for a whole month.

This month's theme is "Uplifting Moments" and the judge is Magnum's Editorial and Publishing Representative, Jonathan Bell – deadline for submissions closes on 23 November. See the website for full details.

Director, Open Eye Gallery, Liverpool

Open Eye is looking for a new Director who can lead the organisation through what promises to be one of the most exciting and challenging periods of its 35-year life.

The new Director will maintain Open Eye's current momentum, consolidating its reputation as one of the UK's most dynamic and ambitious centres for photography. He/she will continue to build and widen audiences, and to raise the organisation's profile across the North West region and beyond.

Redeye Season's Greetings Message

At Redeye we'd like to get a good Season’s Greetings message out there in December this year, and rather than saying it with words we’d love you to come up with the best photographic image that we could use to send out to the whole network and our contacts on behalf of Redeye. We have a prize on offer.

Magnum / IdeasTap offer for young photographers

IdeasTap have 10 heavily subsidised places to give away on Magnum Photos’ two-day Professional Practice seminar hosted as part of the Brighton Photo Biennial’s Development Week, held at Lighthouse Arts, Brighton on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 October 2012.

Places are available for photographers aged 16-25. These seminars are always massively oversubscribed and photographers usually pay £200+VAT to attend. Not only will 10 IdeasTap members jump the queue, they’ll also pay just £50+VAT. Apply by 5 October.

Call for submissions for the 16th Bradford Fellow in Photography

The Bradford Fellowship in Photography scheme, which includes a £10,000 award, a major exhibition and the opportunity to work with higher education students, has been opened to applications for the first time in its 27-year history.

The Bradford Fellowship, a partnership between the National Media Museum, University of Bradford and Bradford College has previously been based on nominations, however this year a call for submissions has been announced.
