Liverpool based photographic artist Tony Mallon has been working in collaboration with a group of women from Northwood in Kirkby, who are part of the Golden Years group. The project acts as a welcome return home for Tony, who grew up in the very area the women are based. Regardless of age, health or mobility a number of women from the Golden Years group are known for breaking down stereotypes of being an 'older resident'. As testimony to this, as volunteers, they recently took on a soon to be closed centre in Northwood to keep a community hub alive. More →
