Geoff Crossley’s work considers the passing of time, family life and how buildings retain our memories.

In late 2010 he became the executor of his mother’s will and had to sell the family home in Altrincham. After the house was decorated, ready for a new family to move in, it took on a different feel – but to Crossley it was still full of old memories.

In an attempt to recapture these, Crossley photographed the entire house, but the pictures felt empty. He reworked the images, combining the new photographs with forgotten snaps found while removing his parents’ possessions. The resulting images rekindled his lingering memories and are presented in this exhibition.

Members of the public are invited to attend an informal launch in the bar from 18:00 on Thursday 6 February.
