Argentea Gallery presents ‘Fertile Ground’ the first of an annual exhibition that is intended to highlight Birmingham and the wider Midlands area as a place of abundant creative potential and production.

This year features work by seven graduates of Birmingham City University, Jo Metson-Scott, Andy Pilsbury, Ernest Otoo, Corinne Perry, Nicola Onions, Lily Wales and Juliana Kasumu.

Through a diverse range of photographic practices, the exhibition presents us with imagery both real and fictitious that span the wistful, ideological and political. Each artist has produced work of striking and distinctive aesthetics that are simultaneously poetic, profound and beautiful.
