Saturday Night and Sunday Morning is a new exhibition inspired by Alan Sillitoe’s groundbreaking novel and the film adaptation directed by Karel Reisz.

First published in 1958, Saturday Night and Sunday Morning ‘helped frame its cultural moment’. It charts a year in the life of Arthur Seaton, machinist in the Nottingham Raleigh cycle factory, and young urban rebel. The novel appeared at the time of a spate of accounts of urban working-class life by academics, playwrights, novelists and documentary filmmakers. More →

Domingo Milella’s subjects are cities and their borders, cemeteries and villages, caves and homes, tombs and hieroglyphs - signs of man’s presence on earth.

His interest lies in the overlap between civilisation and nature and how landscape and architecture are invested with individual and collective memory. He is drawn to places where the cultural and the natural meet, where architecture grows out of the earth and is born of necessity, mirroring its makers and inhabitants. More →

Alina Kisina is a Ukrainian photographer living in London who regularly returns to her homeland to take pictures that bring out the spirituality of its mundane objects and scenes.
