Last admission is 15 minutes before closing.
The Museum is reserved for booked school visits on Mondays and Tuesdays.

The Museum closes at 4pm on Saturday 23 December 2023 and reopens at 10am on Wednesday 3 January 2024

About us
Travel through time and around the world at Warrington Museum & Art Gallery, one of the oldest museums in the country. Built in 1857, the building’s historic features have been carefully preserved, with treasures from all around the world cramming its original glass cabinets.
Warrington Museum & Art Gallery is home to thousands of fascinating exhibits, from beautiful works of art, an Ancient Egyptian mummy – and even our very own dinosaur!
In addition to the permanent displays, the museum also provides an award-winning programme of events and temporary exhibitions, in addition to free family-friendly craft activities.

By Rail
Warrington Bank Quay Station is a 5 minute walk away. Warrington Central Station is a 7 minute walk away.
By Bike
There are cycle racks outside the Library entrance on Museum Street.
By Car
Drive to the town centre and follow the brown signs to the Cultural Quarter.
Parking
Parking is available to the rear of the Pyramid Arts Centre. Please be advised that we operate a phone & pay service and tariffs will apply. Before your visit we advise you to download the phone & pay app available.
Our car park is managed by an external car park management company and the tariffs are set as follows:
