Redeye is very pleased to be presenting our first digital Hothouse event in partnership with Fuse. This event will showcase new photographic talent through a series of quick fire presentations on Saturday the 30th January 2021.
Hothouse is our annual event celebrating new photography with short presentations from photographers about their recent work. We would love to hear from anyone who wants to share what they have been working on, whether it is a work-in-progress or snapshot of a completed project. We are open to any and all types of photography and aim to present a wide range of projects that show the breadth of talent of the photographic community.
Fuse is a platform founded in 2019 to elevate the voices and work of creatives of colour. Initially established in Greater Manchester, Fuse now has chapters across five countries sharing support, advice and resources.
Redeye is a network for anyone with an interest in photography looking to learn, develop their skills and business or be inspired. We host regular events and work in partnerships to advocate for the needs of photographers.
Apply to present!
We are open for applications for photographers who would like to share their work in the form of a short, five-minute presentation. This could be a recent project or work in progress and we want to include a broad range of photographers from all fields – fine art, photojournalism, landscape, portrait, documentary, social, commercial, experimental – anything!
If you are interested in presenting your work, please send a web link to your website or social media page along with a few sentences about yourself and the work you would like to present to firstname.lastname@example.org by 11:59pm on Sunday 13th December. Please include ‘Application for Hothouse Online’ in the subject of the email.
We will be hosting this event online over Zoom, so to present you will just need to be able to connect and share your screen. If you have any questions about the application or will need support to be able to present please let us know and we will try our best to help.
We aim to include as many presentations as we can, and will let you know if you have been successful by Friday 18th December.
We will publish the full line up of speakers and a timetable for the event in early January. All are welcome whether you stay for the whole day or drop in for a few presentations.
