Guidelines for submitting news items.

Redeye welcomes your news on any of the following photographic subjects

Jobs, commissions, grants or opportunities
Competitions
Education, courses
Studios, darkrooms, spaces available
Directories/databases of photographers
Special offers from publishers, manufacturers and suppliers
News about photography in the North West
New/improved websites
Exhibitions
Equipment for sale

Please write a paragraph, maximum 250 words, written in an objective way, containing all relevant facts - names, times, places, accessibility, deadlines, prices, etc. If you are sending details of a commission or competition, please read the entries in the Advice and Info section to check they conform to Redeye's good practice guidelines.

If accepted your news item will be mentioned on the home page and also sent out in the email update. This usually goes out at the beginning of each month, and the deadline for submission here is three days before the end of the previous month.

Requests for help from emerging photographers or good causes can't be accepted here but please feel free to put them on the message board. You can of course also put any other news items on the message board; they won't go out in the update but they will appear on the site right away.

We can occasionally publish publicity photographs in the newsletter; these should be submitted as email attachments to images@redeye.org.uk . We will only accept single JPEGs, longest dimension between 1200 and 2000 pixels, compressed at medium or high quality. No other attachments will be accepted. All text must be within the email
