Award-winning photographer shows project on the lost fifth floor of Lewis's; 16th March 2010
Stephen King has fifteen years of national and international professional experience. This award-winning Liverpool-based photographer has had commissions ranging from commercial advertising to community events.
As co-founder, Senior Photographer and Photo Editor of Document Skateboard Magazine and +1 Magazine, Stephen has travelled extensively, undertaking a wide range of documentary, lifestyle, sports and travel assignments. His work is published worldwide.
Stephen’s portfolio includes portraiture, events, music, sports, travel, gallery exhibitions and advertising.
His most recent publication, and the one he will be discussing, is Lewis’s Fifth Floor: A Department Story, A photographic essay on the lost fifth floor, which was sealed off thirty years ago, of the famous Liverpool department store: canteens where the Beatles played staff parties, the once largest hair salon in the world and mosaics that have since become registered historic works. This is a free event and all are welcome. There's also the chance to have a drink and catch up on the latest news and chat in photography.
Doors open 6:30pm and the talk starts at 7pm.
