Location: Open Eye Gallery, 28-32 Wood St, Liverpool L1 4AQ

New date: 6.30pm for 7pm start, Tuesday 26 January 2010

John Darwell is an independent photographer working on long-term projects that reflect his interest in social and industrial change, concern for the environment and issues around the depiction of mental health.

To date he has had seven books of his work published, including 'Dark Days' (Dewi Lewis Publishing 2007) documenting the impact of foot and mouth disease around his home in north Cumbria, and a twenty five year retrospective 'Committed to Memory' (Tullie House Museum & Art Gallery 2007). See www.johndarwell.com

Organised in collaboration with Redeye, our network meetings for photographers take place every couple of months. They offer photographers of all kinds and levels of experience the chance to socialise, catch up on news and gossip, meet members of the Redeye and Open Eye teams and see short talks and presentations of work.

Free event, all welcome. Arrive from 6:30pm for chat and a drink, and the talk starts at 7pm.
