Redeye is very pleased to be presenting our first digital Hothouse event in partnership with Fuse on Saturday the 30th January 2021. Join us for a day dedicated to spotlighting fresh, photographic content through a series of quick fire presentations from a variety of artists.

Get informal advice on your projects and career during 1-1s with specialists in photography. Our regular Critique Surgeries are a supportive and welcoming space to share your work and get feedback and inspiration for continuting to improve your photographic work.

For our last event of 2020 we wanted to get together with you all for one more Stay and Chat, with a twist. We want to celebrate photography with a chat about some of our favourite photographic projects and objects. A glass of wine or your favourite drink is encouraged but unfortunately not provided, and we will toast the end of 2020.

This event will be an opportunity to hear more about Lightbox Online and ask any questions about the course and how to get involved.  Redeye’s director Paul Herrmann and Programme Coordinator Rachael Burns will be on hand to talk through the aims of the course and work out if it is the right fit for you.

Lightbox Online is a six-month programme of talks, workshops and group critiques fostering a community of practice that will allow you to grow. There will be a focus on the skills required to sustain a career, from developing and managing standout projects, via marketing, fundraising and evaluation to collaborative working and ethical practice.

This series, as with all our events, will be conducted online for the foreseeable future on one-to-one Zoom meetings.

Ahead of the start of our autumn activities we wanted to check in with our members. This will be an online member meet-up led by Redeye Director Paul Herrmann to discuss work and photography during and after the pandemic, strategies for coping and how Redeye can best support our members.

The AGM is one of the key meetings for Redeye members each year. It's a chance to hear about and discuss plans for the future, reflect on the past year, and make some key decisions. You'll meet other Redeye members as well as staff and board members. It’s a great opportunity for any questions you have about our programme or other matters.

In 2020 for the first time it takes place virtually, on Zoom. Register below and you will be sent the Zoom link just before the event.

Our Open Space events are discussions on a particular subject. Open to all, and we particularly welcome anyone with experience or knowledge of the subject covered.

Open Space: What’s Next for Photography Graduates will allow graduating students to discuss their concerns and hear about some of the help available to graduates at this challenging time.

Redeye's Rethink Sessions aim to help photographers and artists navigate and adapt to the COVID-19 crisis; to reprioritise, and find new ideas and income during the pandemic and beyond.

The COVID-19 pandemic has fundamentally changed our daily lives. Moving forwards we know how effectively we can collectively adapt and reprioritise; should we and how we can apply this to the climate crisis?

For the next Rethink Session Phil Korbel, social entrepreneur and co-founder of  The Carbon Literacy Project, will join the discussion. We will look at how artists can get more actively involved; make their own arts practice carbon neutral; and use visual communication skills to spread the message. Can we make a positive impact on the planet an integral part of this ‘new normal’?
