FORMAT19: New jobs announced

A unique opportunity to be part of a successful team delivering a leading International Photography Festival.

Based in Derby UK, FORMAT International Photography Festival offers a diverse mix of activity including portfolio reviews, exhibitions, open calls, commissions, mass participation projects, workshops and more.

Five new freelance vacancies have recently been announced to work on FORMAT19. They are as follows: 
 

- FORMAT Parallel Curatorship Coordinator

PARALLEL is a pan-European platform designed and led by Procur.arte and co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union http://parallelplatform.org. The 2019 edition of Curatorship will take place during FORMAT19 and we are looking for a talented project manager to organise and deliver this unique event.

The Curatorship will take place during the launch week for FORMAT 19, in Derby, UK from 14th – 17th March 2019 and will consist of 4-days of public presentations by 30 selected emerging artists to 6 emerging curators, plus private meetings between the PARALLEL team and the 18 European partner arts organisations. The partner organisations, artist and curators are already selected. The co-ordinator’s organisational responsibilities include arranging the Curatorship event with the PARALLEL and FORMAT teams, and booking participant travel, accommodation and hospitality. - FORMAT Volunteer Coordinator
- FORMAT Assistant Volunteer Coordinator

Format are looking for an excellent Volunteer Coordinator and Assistant Volunteer Coordinator to recruit, manage and support volunteers for the 2019 edition.

They are looking for 2 people to cover two separate freelance contracts:
Volunteer Coordinator 70 days - £5600
Assistant Volunteer Coordinator 50 days - £3250

- FORMAT Portfolio Review Coordinator

We are looking for an excellent Portfolio Review Coordinator organise our review event for the 2019 festival edition, our annual international portfolio review and evening portfolio review award event is an important part of our regular programme that supports the professional development of photographers and artists worldwide, it has been running as part of the festival since its inception since 2004.

Freelance Fee - £5,500 (60 days)

- FORMAT Marketing Assistant
We are looking for a talented Marketing Assistant to develop and support the delivery of marketing and events for the 2019 edition of the festival.
