Joshua Turner, a Fine Art Photographer based in Manchester and recent graduate from BA Photography at the University of Salford, is campaigning to raise funds to publish his latest body of work as a photobook.

Joshua has been working on Flags since August 2017, as his final major body of work to be exhibited at the final degree exhibition in June 2018. Joshua hand-crafted a dummy photobook to experiment with various formats for the publication, with the intent of taking the project further after graduation.

Joshua’s photographic practice has developed into exploring an interest in the relationship between the human race and the landscape, especially in relation to the individual experience; recurring themes that can be seen throughout his work.

The photobook explores our relationship with the landscape, yet with a subject that has innumerable possibilities, it is grounded by a narrative that highlights individuality. Taking significant influence from the photographer’s childhood, long before any serious interest in photography, this narrative is a documentation of physical space that has a wealth of personal memory.

On September 1st 2018, Joshua launched this crowdfunding campaign via Kickstarter and is looking for all the support that can be offered. Aside from the photobook itself, the campaign will offer a variety of rewards for support including a postcard, a double-sided poster and limited edition C-Type prints.

Joshua is using the momentum coming from recent success at University along with a place on University of Salford Art Collection Scholarship, to publish his first photobook. Please show support for an emerging photographer working to publish his first major body of work.
