Kate Peters is an award winning British photographer producing portrait and documentary work around the world. She will talk about her work and practice at FORMAT Photoforum in Derby.
She works on long-term personal projects in a fine art documentary approach, from revealing alternative realities and lifestyles in her series Yes, Mistress to exploring female sexuality and the contemporary representation of women in the cyber age in her series Cam Girls. Peters also works extensively in the commercial and editorial sectors, earning major commissions with magazines and journals.
Her portrait of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange featured on the cover of TIME magazine, and has produced work for the FT Weekend, Guardian Weekend, Monocle, Marie Claire, Telegraph Magazine, The Sunday Times Magazine and many, many more.
